Welcome Back!!! The Motley is finally back in full blast! We opened our doors this semester on Sept. 10th. For the opening theme, we brought the essence of New Orleans to the Motley. The theme title was "Motley Mardi Gras: Anything Goes." Even though the title speaks for itself, the detail of the Motley’s space and employees must be described justly in order to envision the magnitude of such an occasion. With multi-colored streams tracing doorframes, vibrant feathers and beads occupying our tabletops and purple tinted lighting, our vision of Mardi Gras in the Motley was a success. Not only did the decorations bring forth the flavor of Bourbon Street, but the managers themselves who dressed up as the various characters seen at this magnificent event annually could have fooled anyone into believing that they teleported to Louisiana upon entering our coffeehouse. With everyone dressed-to-impress including customers who wore masks of their own, the night only got better. A little later into the night, a dj used his skills to get our crowd of Motley supporters hype. By the look on the faces of the individuals in our space, the Motley’s opening was long anticipated. Hopefully, the excitement that captured the students on campus that night has encouraged you to come and enjoy one of fabulous drinks in the one and only, Motley.
